TIFFIN, Ohio. - The SVSU men’s soccer
team faltered against Tiffin University on Friday afternoon (Oct.
10) as the Cardinals lost to the Dragons 1-0.
Minding the net for the Cardinals, sophomore Luke Deming (Thomas
Township, Mich./Freeland HS) stopped six of the Dragons’
shots, but it wasn’t enough as Tiffin was able to get one on
the board two minutes into the second half.
Even though SVSU did not score in the game, the Cardinals were
able to get six shots off against the Dragons. Seniors Brent Walker
(Owosso, Mich./Owosso HS) and Larry Ferreira had two shots apiece
to lead the Cards on offense.
The loss drops SVSU to 3-6-2 overall, and 0-4 GLIAC as the team
gets ready to tackle Rochester College at 4 p.m. Oct. 15 in
Rochester Hills, Mich.
