UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The SVSU mens soccer
team fell to GLIAC rival Northwood 3-1 today (Oct. 23) at the SVSU
Soccer Complex.
Northwood got on the scoreboard first when Ross Altchison netted a
goal on a penalty kick past Cardinal keeper Piotr Kamzmierczak
(Stargard, Poland/Kellogg CC). SVSU would even the score just
moments later when Brandon LeBlanc (Saginaw, Mich./Delta College)
took a pass from Daniel Wragg and beat Northwood keeper Jacob
Walsh. Northwood would go up 2-1 in the 65th minute and would net
an empty net goal with 15 seconds left in the match.
SVSU falls to 5-8-2 on the season, 1-6 in the GLIAC, while
Northwood moves to 6-6 on the season, 4-3 in the GLIAC. SVSU will
travel to Aquinas on Sunday at noon.
