Shea Harmeson Wins Battle at Brunswick as Men’s Team Takes Second

CALABASH, N.C. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf program played three rounds in the Davis & Elkins Battle at Brunswick at the Brunswick Plantation Golf Resort in Calabash, North Carolina over Friday, Marach 7 and Saturday, March 8. Shea Harmeson took first out of 92 golfers as the team took second of 14 teams.

Harmeson had rounds of 70 (-2), 75 (+3), and 72 (E) to finish with a total of 217 (+1). Following up was Jiseung Choi with rounds of 74 (+2), 71 (-1), and 75 (+3) for a grand total of 220 (+4) as he tied for third with two others. Evan Klein tied for eleventh with a total of 226 (+10) shooting rounds of 81 (+9), 71 (-1), and 74 (+2).

Thomas Keyte finished tied for 49th with rounds of 80 (+8), 84 (+12), and 75 (+3) for a three-round total of 239 (+23). Joey Per rounded out the team tying for 68th with a total of 247 (+31) as he shot 85 (+13), 79 (+7), and 83 (+11).

Dominic DeLaura tied for 40th with four others golfing individually. He had rounds of 84 (+12), 75 (+3), and 78 (+6) for a total of 237 (+21).

Klein shot the only eagle in the tournament as he eagled hole 16, a par four.

Up Next: Saginaw Valley men's golf heads to the SVSU Spring Invitational next weekend on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16. The tournament takes place at the Kearney Hills Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky.
