Shea Harmeson Wins as Men’s Golf Places 9th at Bulldog Classic

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team finished ninth at the B&R Investments Bulldog Classic hosted by Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan. The two-day tournament started on Sunday with 36 holes and finished Monday with another 18 holes of play.

Shea Harmeson made a splash in the first tournament of the 2023-24 season as he won the event after shooting an incredible 66 in round three to finish with a total score of 210. Harmeson was five strokes ahead of second place and climbed back from ninth place after the first round to become the medalist. Harmeson added all-tournament to his list of accomplishments on the season for his performance.

Remy Stalcup tied for 23rd with a tournament total of 224. Joey Per tied in 50th with a 231 while Nicholas Taylor shot a 235 to tie for 62nd. Ethan Swenson tied in 68th place with a final tally of 238 to help the Cardinals to their final spot in the team standings.
