SVSU Men 3rd after day one of GLIAC North Invitational

BIG RAPIDS -- In round one action at the 2019 GLIAC North Invitational, the Cardinal Men's Golf team sits in third place after shooting a score of 297 at the Katke Golf Course. 

The Cards are four strokes behind both Grand Valley State and Ferris State, which both shot a round of 293. 

SVSU was led by both Mitch Hughes and Gunnar Stein, who each carded a round of 72 (+1) and sit in a tie for second place after 18 holes.  

Alex Dice is tied for 11th place after an opening day score of 75 and Brady Dice posted a 78 and is tied for 18th in the tourney. 

Jared Lyons shot a score of 79 as well and is tied for 23rd place.

Jordan Weaver is competing as an individual and is tied for 18th as well after his score of 78.
