FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team competed in the opening day of the 2018 Doc Spragg Fall Invitational on Monday, which consisted of 36 holes at the Findlay Country Club. Saginaw Valley had rounds of 305-298 (603), sitting in the No. 12 slot overall four strokes behind Tiffin University and Northwood University. 

Indianapolis leads the tournament after day one with a score of 574 - one stroke ahead of Grand Valley State. 

Dustin Pumford put together rounds of 73 and 72, sitting in a tie for 15th place overall with his one-over par total. 

Gunnar Stein shot consecutive rounds of 76 and is tied for 48th with his +8 mark. Jared Lyons is tied with Stein, shooting rounds of 78-74 on Monday. Alex Dice had scores of 78-76 and is tied for 58th to round-out the team's scoring.

Nicklaus Bailey shot scores of 82-78 while competing as well.
