NORMAN, Okla. -- A pair of SVSU Men's Golf student-athletes were honored with national academic recognition for the 2017-18 academic year, as senior Ryan Peruski and junior Dustin Pumford were named to the Srixon / Cleveland All-America Scholar Team.

Peruski rounded-out his SVSU career with a stroke average of 73.57 in his 28 rounds of competition. He finished top-10 five times and inside of the top-5 on three different occasions. Ryan finished runner-up at the OVU Highlands Cup Challenge with a two-under total. His five-under tally at the season-opening Al Watrous Intercollegiate was his lowest score in relation to par this past season. He was named to the All-GLIAC First Team as well for his performance. Peruski graduated this past spring with a mechanical engineering degree and had a 3.40 GPA during his tenure.

Pumford competed in 26 rounds this season for the Cardinals, registering a stroke average of 74.77. He tallied a pair of top-10 finishes, including a sixth place showing at the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest / Central Super Regionals, where he was one-under par for the week and narrowly missed a trip to the national championships as an individual. Dustin maintains a 3.38 GPA as a chemistry major for the Cardinals. It is the second straight season that he has been named an All-America Scholar.

The Cardinals finished inside the top-five in eight tournaments for the 2017-18 campaign. They claimed the title at the OVU Highlands Cup Challenge and at the SVSU Spring Invitational, where SVSU shot six-under par as a team for the 36-hole event.
