FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team finished up its second round of action on Tuesday (May 8) at the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest / Central Super Regionals. The tournament is being hosted at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. 

Saginaw Valley got a stellar round of 69 (-3) from Dustin Pumford in second round action to lead the team, as the Cardinals shaved-off seven strokes from Monday's 297 to shoot a 290. SV is tied for 11th place with Central Oklahoma. Tiffin continues to lead the event with a score of 575, one shot clear of Indianapolis. 

Pumford sits in a tie for 9th place overall after his scores of 74-69 for the one-under score of 143. Jared Lyons and Mason Motte each carded a second round 73 (+1) for the Cardinals. Lyons is tied for 36th overall with his rounds of 74-73 (+3) while Motte is in a tie for 75th with his scores of 78-73 (+9). Austin Carter is tied for 36th with Lyons, following his Monday even-par round with a 75 (+3) on Tuesday. Ryan Peruski finished with a second consecutive 77 for the Cardinals.

SVSU returns to the course on Wednesday for the third and final round of the super regional event. The Cardinals tee-off at 12:50 on hole No. 10 at the Findlay Country Club.
