Men's Golf Sits 4th After Opening Round of Greyhound Invitational

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The SVSU Men's Golf Team sits in a tie for fourth place after first round play at the 2018 Greyhound Invitational, played at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana. 

The Cardinals opened play with a round of 289, led by Austin Carter's three-under score of 69. He sits in a tie for 2nd place overall and is just a single stroke off the pace. As a team, Saginaw Valley is eight strokes behind UMSL. 

Dustin Pumford and Jared Lyons were next for the Cards, with each shooting a 73. They are in a tie for 23rd place after 18 holes. 

Ryan Peruski sits tied for 34th place after his round of 74 finished the team's scoring for the day. Mason Motte had a 77 for SVSU.
