COLUMBUS, Ind. -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team bounced-back with a solid second round to finish tied for 6th place at the 2018 Parkside Spring Invitational.

SVSU shaved 11 strokes from an opening round score of 297, putting together a 288 in round two for the 585 total. McKendree University won the event with a total score of 574.

Ryan Peruski led the way in round two, firing a four-under par score of 68. Austin Carter added a 71 (-1) while Dustin Pumford was even par at 72. Mason Motte finished the scoring for the team in the final round with a 77 (+5). Jared Lyons had a second round score of 78 on Monday.

Saginaw Valley continues on to play in a big regional event, the Purgatory Regional. The new 54-hole format will take place Apr. 8-10 at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana.
