SVSU Men Tied for 5th After Day One of Findlay Spring Invite

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The SVSU Men's Golf team was back in action on the links Monday (Mar. 26) at the Findlay Spring Invite for day one competition. The Cardinals are in a tie for fifth place after the opening 18 score of 296 at the University Club of Kentucky - Big Blue Course, which was playing Par 72 - 7,013 yards.

Ryan Peruski led the first day's scoring, going for a one-under par score of 71. He is tied for sixth place overall after his round one.

Austin Carter had a 74 (+2) in round one and is in a tie for 22nd place while Dustin Pumford is tied for 32nd after carding a round of 75 (+3).

Mason Motte is tied for 42nd after his first round tally of 76 (+4), which rounded-out the team's scoring on Monday. Jared Lyons competed as well, posting a score of 78 (+6) for Saginaw Valley. 

Up Next...

The Cardinals round-out competition Tuesday (Mar. 27) for the second round of the event. The final round will feature a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
