Cardinals Sit 5th After 36 Holes at Kyle Ryman Memorial

TIFFIN -- The SVSU Men's Golf team opened play on Saturday (Sep. 30) at the 2017 Kyle Ryman Memorial, hosted by Tiffin University at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club. The Cardinals shot rounds of 297-287 on day one of the 54 hole event, sitting in fifth place overall.

Saginaw Valley is two strokes behind fourth place Tiffin (582) after 36 holes. Wayne State leads with a total score of 579.

Ryan Peruski (70-75) and Mason Motte (75-70) each are tied for 14th overall after posting a 145 on day one. Austin Carter (73-75) is in a tie for 29th with teammate Gunnar Stein, who bounced back from an opening round 79 to card a three-under 69 for the second round.
