SOUTH HAVEN -- The SVSU Men's Golf team hit the road for the second tournament of the 2017 season, competing at the GLIAC North Invitational at the HawksHead Links. The Cardinals sit in fourth place, posting an opening score of 291 in the event.
Austin Carter led the way on day one, posting a 68 (-4) as the low man for the Cardinals. He is tied for the lead with the score.
Gunnar Stein was stellar in his second collegiate event at SVSU. He hit in red numbers as well, posting a two-under score of 70. He sits tied for 6th place after 18 holes.
Dustin Pumford shot a 76 (+4) and is tied for 32nd overall. Mason Motte and Ryan Peruski each shot a 77, rounding-out play for the Cards.
