SVSU Men's Golf competes on day two at Super Regionals

AXTELL, Neb. - Competing in the second day of the NCAA Division II Super Regionals, the SVSU Men's Golf team set a new program record for 36-hole scoring. The Cardinals followed up Monday's round of 280 (-8) with a score of 290 (+2) on Tuesday.

The two-day total of 570 has SVSU in a tie for 13th place overall, two shots back of 12th place Wayne State. Central Missouri leads the event with a score of 26-under par.

Austin Carter followed up his great play on Monday with a second straight under-par score. He posted a 70 (-2) on Tuesday and sits in a tie for 10th place overall at -7. 

Mason Motte shot even-par on Tuesday and is at -1 overall for the tournament. He sits in a tie for 46th place overall.

Ryan Peruski had a one-over score of 73 in the second round. He is tied for 69th with his overall score of +1.

Tied with Peruski is Dustin Pumford. Pumford followed his two-under score of 70 up with a three-over round of 75. He rounded-out the scoring for the Cardinals.

Up Next...

Day three of action will commence on Wednesday with the final round. Saginaw Valley will tee-off at 8:35 a.m. central time, beginning on hole one.
