NASHPORT, Ohio - The SVSU men's golf team finished the 2016 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship in a tie for eighth place following a third round score of 306.
Saginaw Valley put together rounds of 311-304-306 for a total of 921 (+57) and tied with Ohio Dominican University. Tiffin University won the championship with a total score of 892 (+28). The Dragons edged-out Grand Valley State University by a single stroke for the title.
Ryan Peruski finished off a solid weekend of play with a final round score of 73 (+1). He ended up tied for fourth place with a six-over par total of 222 (77-72-73).
Mason Motte had a 77 in the final round and finished at 14-over for the weekend. He had rounds of 76-77-77 in the championship and tied for 24th overall.
Michael Hansen had a 77 on Sunday as well in his first round scoring for the Cards on the weekend.
Dustin Pumford tied for 47th in the championship with rounds of 80-76-79 and Tommy Prato was tied for 56th with rounds of 78-79-82.
The Cardinals finish their 2015-16 season after the GLIAC Championships and no players from the current team will be lost to graduation.
