NASHPORT, Ohio - The SVSU men's golf team shaved-off seven strokes and finished with a second round total of 304 (+16) in the second round of the GLIAC Men's Golf Championships. The event is being played at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.

Saginaw Valley remains in the ninth position with a tally of 615 (+39), two strokes behind Ashland University. Tiffin University 597 (+21) leads the tournament by five shots over Malone University. 

Ryan Peruski led the way for the Cardinals in the second round. He rounded his day out with a one-under back nine and finished with a pair of birdies to shoot an even-par round of 72. He sits in a tie for seventh place overall with his two day total of 149 (77-72, +5). Mason Motte followed up his opening round of 76 with a 77 and he is tied for 28th with a score of 153 (+9). Dustin Pumford had the second-best score for SV in round two, firing a 76. Pumford is tied for 41st with a total of 156 (+12). Tommy Prato finished the scoring for the day for Saginaw Valley with a 79. He is in a tie for 45th with a score of 157 (+13).

The Cardinals round-out the tournament Sunday (Apr. 17) in the third and final round of the event.
