TIFFIN, Ohio - The SVSU men's golf team shot an opening round of 319 (+31) at the Kyle Ryman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Tiffin University at the Mohawk Golf & Country Club. 

The Cardinals finished a stroke behind the Findlay B team, which sits in sixth place. Tiffin's B team leads the event after 18 holes with an eight-over total of 296.

Ryan Peruski and Dustin Pumford each shot opening rounds of 78 (+6) and sit in a tie for 18th place after the opening 18 holes of play. 

Tommy Prato shot an 81 (+9) and sits in a tie for 33rd place after round one. Steven Kish (82, T-38) and Luke Nesbitt (85, T-48) also competed for the Cardinals.

The teams will continue Sunday (Oct. 4) with the second and final round of action in Tiffin.
