Men's Golf Finishes 11th at GLIAC North Invitational

SOUTH HAVEN - Competing on day two of the 2015 GLIAC North Invitational, the SVSU men's golf team matched a first round score of 301 with another 301 to finish with a total count of 602. That tally put the Cardinals in an 11th place final finish in the tournament. 

SVSU finished just four strokes out of fifth place finisher Wayne State, as the Warriors shot a 598. Grand Valley State shot seven under as a team and pulled out a two-stroke victory with a total of 581, two ahead of Malone.

Mason Motte had another great round for the Cardinals, as he followed up Sunday's even-par round with a two-under 70 to finish tied for fourth place. Ryan Peruski went under par on Monday as well, firing a 71 that gave him a total of 145 (+1) after his opening round of 74. He finished inside of the top-10 as well, tying for eighth place. Tommy Prato shot rounds of 77-79 (+12)  while Alexander Dice had scores of 80-81 and Michael Hansen finished the tournament with rounds of 78-82 for Saginaw Valley.

The Cardinals are back in action September 28-29, as they travel to paly in the NCAA Regional #1 Tournament at the Harborside International Golf Course in Chicago, Illinois.
