Both teams got off to a slow start, as SVSU led 3-0 all the way until the 15:18 mark when Uof M-Dearborn tied the contest at 3-3.  The Cards would then go on a 19-0 run while leading 11-9 to make the score 30-9 in their favor.  Saginaw Valley would continue the good play in the opening 20 minutes, as it held a 51-18 lead at the half.

The offensive output wasn't quite as sizeable in period number two, but the Cardinals added 39 second half points and held the Wolverines to only 20, sealing the 52 point victory.

SVSU shot 53.3% from the field in the game and 42.1% from beyond the arc, nailing 8-of-19 attempts for three.

Sophomore guard Damon Bozeman had a game-high 16 points in the game, as he was 5-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from three point range.  Bozeman added three rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Junior forward Kalen Foreman added 11 points and eight rebounds, narrowly missing out on a double-double for SVSU.
