Kenrick Earns Second GLIAC Special Teams POTW Honor

BAY CITY, Mich. - SVSU sophomore kicker Alex Kenrick has been selected as the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his play this past Saturday in the Cardinals' big 41-13 homecoming victory over the Northern Michigan University Wildcats. It marks the second time Alex has earned this honor, as he was named the Special Teams POTW following the team's 27-17 victory at Walsh on September 17.

Kenrick had another solid game in SVSU's 41-13 homecoming victory on Saturday night over the Northern Michigan University Wildcats. Kenrick nailed both of his field goal tries, connecting from 28 and 31 yards for the Cardinals both in the first half when the contest was close. Kenrick also went 5-for-5 on his PAT attempts.

Saginaw Valley is now 4-2 overall on the season and 4-2 in league play. The Cardinals have a bye week before traveling to Wayne State University on Saturday, October 22nd for a noon matchup against the Warriors.
