UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Five former Saginaw Valley State University football players competed in two different pro days the past couple of days in hopes of elevating their chances of playing football at the next level.

Wide receiver Jeff Janis and quarterback Jonathon Jennings participated in the University of Michigan's Pro Day in Ann Arbor while offensive linemen Tevon Conrad and Christian Babini joined safety Jon Bryant at Eastern Michigan for its Pro Day.

It was the ultimate opportunity to show a variety of NFL scouts and front office personnel just how they stack-up against other pro prospects across the country.

Janis, who competed at the NFL Combine in February, only ran the 60-yard shuttle and caught balls from Jennings.  Although the official 60 time was not released, the consensus was that it was a great time ran and the top time for all athletes at the event.

Jennings' unofficial numbers were a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash, a 31-inch vertical, a 41.8 in the 20-yard shuttle run, a 6.75 in the 3-cone drill and 119 inches in the broad jump while measuring at 6-foot-0 and a half and 196-pounds.

For comparison's sake, the top time by a quarterback at the NFL combine in the 40-yard dash was Virgina Tech's Logan Thomas with a 4.61. Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel ran a 4.68.

If Jennings' official numbers turn out to be close his performance would have been good enough to be in the top five at the NFL combine for quarterbacks in all the events.

Official results from Thursday's event at Eastern Michigan weren't released, we have some unofficial results for the players.

Bryant ran a 4.6 40-yard dash, had a 35-inch vertical and did 24 reps in the bench press.

The number of reps was one shy of the top mark set at the NFL combine for safeties by Minnesota's Brock Vereen.

Babini had a time of 5.0 in the 40-yard dash, a 30-inch vertical leap and did 35 reps in the bench press.

Conrad, who measured in at 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, ran a 5.17 in the 40-yard dash, jumped a 31-inch vertical and put up 27 reps in the bench press.
