The senior QB/WR combination of Jonathon Jennings and Jeff Janis has been honored by D2football.com as the site's National Offensive "Players of the Week" following their offensive outburst against the Hillsdale College Chargers.
Jennings threw for school records of 541 yards and seven touchdowns in the 47-34 home victory. He completed 28-of-39 passes in the game. Fifteen of those completions were hauled-in by Janis, who finished with a school record 331 yards receiving and tied another record with four touchdowns.
Jennings currently leads the nation in pass efficiency with a 193.8 rating and is eighth nationally with 2,460 yards passing. Janis ranks second nationally in receiving yards (1,145) and yards per game (143.1).
