UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University football team moved into the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 for the first time this season following its 48-26 victory over Northern Michigan this past weekend.
The Cardinals are 7-2 overall and in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season and are ranked No. 19 overall in the D2football.com Media Poll and No. 3 in the NCAA Super Region #3 Poll. SVSU was last ranked inside the AFCA Top-25 in September of 2010.
Saginaw Valley will travel to Grand Valley (7-3, 6-3) this weekend to close out the regular season, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 PM.
