2011: Competed and started in nine games for Saginaw Valley before suffering an injury...was one of the top defensive players, posting 85 tackles on the season with six for loss...had a career high 17 tackles against Hillsdale College (Oct. 1)...recorded two interceptions and two sacks for a loss of 12 yards for the Cardinals...selected to the First Team All-GLIAC for his defensive efforts.

2010: Started in 10-of-11 games played for the Cardinals…led the way defensively with a team-high 96 tackles with 3.5 for loss …had a season high 16 tackles against Hillsdale (Oct. 2)…recovered four fumbles on the season and forced two…picked up 1.5 sacks for loss…had a pass break up against Michigan Tech (Oct. 9) and Northern Michigan (Nov. 6).

2009: Started in 11-of-12 games for the Cardinals...recorded 40 tackles, 16 solo and 24 assisted...had three solo tackles and three assisted tackles against Northern Michigan (Oct. 3)...recorded one interception for 29 yards and had one fumble recovery against Northwood University…recorded two sacks on the season with a combined loss of 15 yards…had 4.5 tackles-for-loss of 17 yards.

2008: Redshirted in 2008. 

Prior to SVSU/Personal: Was a three year letter winner at linebacker for West Ottawa High School...two-time captain for West Ottawa in both football and basketball...all-time leading tackler at West Ottawa with 423 total tackles for his career...three-time all-conference selection in football...all-state honorable mention for football in 2006 and 2007...also won four letters in baseball and three in basketball...named all-conference and all-district three times in baseball...Jim Caserta was his head coach at West Ottawa during his three seasons on the varsity team...honor roll student all four years at West Ottawa...four year Scholar-Athlete award winner...named Academic All-State in 2007...son of Jim and Deb Caserta...plans to major in business at SVSU.
