Corky brings with him 20 years of coaching experience, ranging from the high school to the collegiate level.  He was most recently a head coach in the Saginaw Heritage High School baseball program from 2011-2013.

Prior to that, he spent three seasons at Division I Saint Peter's College, where he served as the team's Recruiting Coordinator, Pitching Coach and Camp Director.  While at Saint Peter's, seven different pitching records were broken under his guidance.  The staff ERA fell from 7.00 to 4.36 while he was at the helm as well.  Thompson helped establish baseball camps at the College as well, attracting just under 500 campers in their first year of existence.

Prior to his coaching job at Saint Peter's, Thompson spent time as a head coach at Saginaw Arthur Hill and Saginaw High, as well as serving as the Head JV Coach at Swan Valley.  He coached the Saginaw American Legion Post 22 for eight years, guiding them to the 2001 MRPA State Championship.

Thompson received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education from Saginaw Valley State University.  He currently resides in Saginaw.
