Jatczak Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Saginaw Valley State University senior Hayden Jatczak had a dominant week at the plate over the eight games for the Cardinals. The Bay City native went 14-for-31 and batted .500 in conference play with seven GLIAC games and one against Central Michigan. Out of his 14 hits, Jatczak led the team in doubles with four and home runs with three. He also had a team-high 16 RBI and was second in runs scored with 15. The two-way player also walked six times and did not strike out once over 37 plate appearances. Jatczak sits first in the GLIAC in batting average and slugging percentage and is now tied for first in home runs.

Saginaw Valley baseball continues the conference games as they head to Wayne State this weekend for a four-game series against the Warriors.
