UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University baseball's Tyler McLaren pitched a gem on Saturday against Maryville University. The senior pitcher threw eight innings allowing five hits and two runs on route to his second win of the season as the Cardinals claimed a 10-2 victory. The Freeland, Michigan native struck out two batters after giving up two runs in the fourth, threw four straight scoreless innings as the offense rallied behind to put up 10 runs of support. McLaren brought his season ERA down to 2.84 and posted a 0.88 WHIP against the Saints on Saturday.
