GLIAC -- Saginaw Valley State University senior infielder Jordan Swiss has been selected as the GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week following his performance over the weekend in a three-game series with #15 Illinois-Springfield in Georgia. 

Swiss (Petoskey, Mich.) began the season hot at the plate, going 7-for-10 with a pair of doubles and five RBI in a weekend series at 15th-ranked Illinois-Springfield. Swiss walked twice and had a pair of stolen bases as well in the games. He had a .900 slugging percentage as SVSU went 0-3 in the series. Swiss also totaled one putout and four assists.

The Cardinals hit the road again this upcoming weekend, traveling to play at McKendree for another three-game series. That begins on Friday (Feb. 22). Follow all of the action at www.svsucardinals.com.
