Cardinal Baseball Annouces 2019 Spring Schedule

UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Saginaw Valley State University Baseball team has officially announced its schedule for the upcoming spring 2019 season.  

The teams gets its season underway on the road Feb. 15-16 when it faces the University of Illinois-Springfield in Lake Point, Georgia to begin a 17-game road string of matchups to begin the season. GLIAC play opens March 22-24 when the Cardinals travel to play at Davenport University. 

SVSU will face Northwood University on Tuesday, April 16 in a non-conference, regional game at Dow Diamond at 6:35 p.m. The Cards will also host a game at Comerica Park, squaring-off against Cleary University in a 6:35 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 24.

It marks the program's first ever trip to play at Comerica Park, giving a great opportunity to showcase SVSU Baseball, the GLIAC and allowing the student-athletes to have an unforgettable experience. 

The postseason schedule begins May 9-12, which is when the 2019 GLIAC Tournament will be played. This year's tournament will be hosted in Traverse City, Michigan at Wuerfel Park, which is where the Traverse City Beach Bums played.
