BAY CITY - SVSU sophomore center fielder Adam Fitzgibbon has been selected as the GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Cardinals in a 3-1 weekend at Lake Erie.
Fitzgibbon had a stellar weekend in leading the Cardinals to a 3-1 record at Lake Erie. He hit .786, going 11-14 with a home run, four doubles, five RBI, three walks and six runs scored. He posted an .824 on-base percentage and 1.286 slugging percentage.
Saginaw Valley hosts Tiffin this weekend for a four-game set, beginning Saturday (Apr. 8) at noon. Sunday's doubleheader will also feature a noon first pitch.
