UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University baseball team will face off against Wayne State University in the first round of the 2012 GLIAC Baseball Tournament in Chillicothe, Ohio on Wednesday (May 9).

The Cardinals are the No. 5 seed while the Warriors claimed the No. 2 seed. SVSU won three of four contests against Wayne State this season, including two big road wins in Detroit.

Saginaw Valley finished the season 20-16 in conference play, while Wayne State compiled a 21-13 mark.

The tournament will take place at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio on Wednesday (May 9). First pitch is now scheduled for 10:30 AM.
