Jennifer Muana - Women's Soccer
SVSU senior defender, Jennifer Muana, earns Cardinal Athlete of the Week after scoring a pair of goals, including the game winning goal, to come back and win 2-1 against regional opponent Fairmont State.
Muana first found the net at the 72' mark with a header off a corner kick from Allison Sims to tie the match 1-1. Goal number two came in the final seconds of the match as Zo Schultz and Madie Saleh set Muana up to find the back of the net with five seconds remaining. The second goal would give the Cardinals their second win of the season as they overcame the Fighting Falcons, 2-1.
The Cardinals are on the road Sunday (Sep. 22) at 1:00pm, as they travel to Big Rapids, Michigan to take on the Ferris State University Bulldogs.
