Michael Hamilton - Men's Soccer
Sophomore Michael Hamilton had an impeccable week for the Cardinals, defeating Ashland on Thurday in OT, 4-3, and on Saturday against USI, 4-1, to advance to the round of 16.
Hamilton's two scores in Thursday's victory over the Eagles put him at eight goals and three assists as well for a team-best 19 points. He had four shots in the match, putting two on goal with the scores.
Then in Saturday's Round of 32 win over host school, Southern Indiana, he added two more assists to push his overall points to 21, but fell behind Azaad Liadi by one point for the overall team high in points.
The Cardinals will face Ohio Valley University on Thursday (Nov. 15) at 6:00 p.m. eastern time. The match will be played at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. The Fighting Scots defeated Tiffin on Sunday in penalty kicks to advance. The NCAA Round of 16 berth is the third in program history for the Cardinals.
