Noah VanderVeen - Men's Track and Field
Junior indoor track and field jumper Noah VanderVeen (East Tawas, Mich. // Eas Tawas HS) took fourth in the triple jump contest with his number of 13.37 meters. That was a personal best for VanderVeen in the triple. He would claim 1st place in the high jump with a provisional qualifying height of 2.10 meters, as well.
VanderVeen also earned GLIAC Male Field of the week honors for his mark in the high jump competition at the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational. That mark currently is the top in the GLIAC and is tied for sixth-best in the nation.
Taylor Lucas — Women's Track and Field
Freshman jumper, Taylor Lucas (Ann Arbor, Mich. // Ann Arbor Huron HS) was 8th in the triple jump event, leaping to a distance of 10.30 meters. The distance marks a personal best in the event for Lucas.
