Andrew Mudd - Track and Field

 

 

Andrew Mudd finished the NCAA DII Championships Saturday (Mar. 12) afternoon with a total of 5,440 points, posting a new program record in the men's heptathlon. He previously set the record at the 2018 GLIAC Indoor Championships with a 5,398 as the GLIAC Champion.

His highest finish of the competition was in the 1000m run where he took second place with a time of 2:40.8. Mudd then finished fifth in the shot put competition, sixth in the 60m dash, seventh in the high jump, 60m hurdle, and pole vaulting competition. Finally, he rounded out his events with a ninth place finish in the long jump competition with a 6.88m jump.

Danielle Slonac - Tennis

 

Senior Danielle Slonac finished the spring break trip with a 2-2 singles record and a 3-1 record in doubles, finishing with the team high record of 5-3. Her best outing for singles was on March 6 versus Rockhurst where she won 6-1 and then later 6-2.

Slonac's best doubles win was against Missouri Western in position three with her partner Nikita Hill. They won 8-3.

The SVSU Tennis team will finish up their spring season by the end of this month with four road games that start Saturday (Mar. 17) at Lawerence Tech beginning at 4 p.m.
