Omar Sinclair – Men's Soccer
Omar Sinclair (Manchester, England / Bury College) earned SVSU Athlete of the Week for adding his first goal of the season during the first GLIAC match up against Northern Michigan University on Friday (Sept. 15). Sinclair's goal contributed to the #16 Saginaw Valley State's first GLIAC shutout of the season, 3-0.
Saginaw Valley State Men's Soccer team will be on the road this weekend on Friday versus Tiffin University. First kick is slated for 4:00 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.
Danielle Slonac – Women's Tennis
Danielle Slonac (St. Clair, Mich. / St. Clair HS) earned her SVSU Athlete of the Week by going 4-0, only dropping four games the entire weekend in singles and doubles combined (two doubles and four/five singles) during the match ups between GLIAC opponents Purdue Northwest and Davenport.
Saginaw Valley State Tennis team will spend this weekend at the ITA Tournament in Midland, Mich. Times are to be announced.
