Ryan Peruski - Men's Golf
Senior Ryan Peruski led the charge all weekend at the GLIAC golf Championships, posting a top-10 showing. Peruski put together rounds of 76-74-72 to tie for 7th place for SVSU.
The team awaits final rankings but it is likely the Cardinals will qualify for the 2018 NCAA Division II Super Regionals. That golf tournament is being played at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
Mikayla Alexandrou - Softball
Mikayla Alexandrou, who picked up the save in the Northwood game one of the doubleheader, closed-out from there with retiring three of the next four batters to preserve the single run victory.
Alexandrou (7-6) notched the win in the circle in game two of the Northwood series, working all 5.0 innings. She let in just a single earned run with five strikeouts and zero walks.
The Cardinal Softball team will wrap up their GLIAC season with three series this week, beginning with Purdue Northwest on Monday (Apr. 23) at 3:30 p.m. at the SVSU Softball Complex.
