Parker Eisengruber – Men's Cross Country
Junior Parker Eisengruber (Saginaw, Mich. / Heritage HS) ran his personal record for he 8k this weekend at the Greater Louisville Classic in Lousiville, Kent. His earned his new PR time of 25:36.5 and finished sixth in the Divison II portion of the Blue 8k race, the top finish for Saginaw Valley.
The teams will compete in the Lansing Invitational in Lansing, Mich., on Friday Oct. 6. The first race is set for 11 a.m.
Maddie Miller – Women's Tennis
Maddie Miller (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton HS) has moved up from 6 singles and not playing doubles last year to currently playing 2 singles and 2 doubles with partner Danielle Slonac. She went 4-0 on the weekend in the U.P. against GLIAC opponents Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State. Miller is now a combined 8-0 overall in the GLIAC in singles and doubles. Her win streak has helped SVSU reach the top of the GLIAC standings at 4-0.
Saginaw Valley State Tennis team will spend this weekend at home hosting three GLIAC team members. Friday the team will face Wayne State at noon, Saturday, Ashland at 10 a.m. and finally Tiffin, Sunday at 10 a.m.
