Brandon Wise - Baseball
SVSU right handed pitcher Brandon Wise (Auburn, Mich. // Bay City Western) earned his third win on the year Sunday (Mar. 25) afternoon, after defeating the Tiffin Dragons 5-1. Wise worked 6.2 innings, with four strikeouts and no earned runs. He currently has a 3.86 ERA on the year, pitching 28 innings with 14 strikeouts.
The Cardinals will open up at home Thursday (Mar. 29) afternoon against newly added conference member, Davenport, at 4:30 p.m. This will be a four game series against the #2 team in conference. Games are scheduled for Thursday, Friday (DH) and Saturday.
Shea Donahue - Tennis
Senior Shea Donahue (Haslett, Mich.) had a three-set victory at No. 1 singles, posting the win after scores of 6-2, 2-6, 6-1. She also notched a doubles win in the No. 1 slot with her partner, Maddie Miller, 8-2.
The team went on to sweep the doubles and singles matches, 9-0, over Southern Indiana.
Saginaw Valley finishes its regular season on Friday (Mar. 30) with a trip to Eastern Michigan for another contest. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
