Chad Gailliard — Football
Red-shirt freshman Chad Gailliard (Dearborn, Mich. / Edsel Ford HS) completed a career-best during Saturday's GLIAC match up against Northern Michigan with 13 catches and 229 yards. Gailliard also posted a touchdown in the 20-12 win over the Wildcats, his fourth of the season.
The Saginaw Valley State Football team will return home on Saturday to play their final regular season home game on Saturday versus Tiffin. Also, the team will honor its senior class for their remarkable time they have spent at the Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium. Game is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
Sabrina Coffman – Women's Glof
Sophomore Sabrina Coffman (Toledo, Ohio / St. Ursula Academy) competed in the Battle of Belmont held by Davenport University last week. The team finished 5th overall with a 651 finishing total.
Coffman finished runner-up in the tournament, improving five strokes from an opening round 80 to shoot a 75. She finished just four strokes off the lead with her +11 total and was tied for the low round of the day.
This second place individual win is the top finish for the Cardinal team in program history.
The Women's Golf team has now ended their play for the fall season. The team picks back up on March 17-18 when the Cards host the SVSU Spring Invitational in Kentucky.
